Why I studied Naturopathic Nutrition?

I have often been asked why I chose to study nutrition as a fully practising doctor. My peers have often been surprised, intrigued and, at times, cynical about my endeavours.

What more did I hope to offer?

Studying Nutritional Therapy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine opened my eyes to the true potential natural whole foods and supplements have when used with purpose.

I am proud to say that through studying nutrition I have created a skillset that allows me to go above and beyond for my clients. I now have access to a new world of knowledge that draws upon organic and holistic methods to support and achieve optimal health.

During my medical career I have found that a certain group of my patients were repeatedly reaching out for help; some had normal test results with no worrying features but were still searching for answers – they just did not feel like themselves. Others wanted support through acute or chronic illness or help in facilitating a full and complete recovery.

I realised I could, and should, do more and have worked tirelessly to create a bespoke service to create this.

Imperial Health and Nutrition’s goal is to combine science and nature to provide evidence based supportive care. I work in collaboration with clients to empower them to take back control of their health and wellbeing.
